13th Green …The Source for Action Sports Inspired Golf Apparel and Equipment.

I don’t know about you, but when we’re out on the course the style is so boring, uptight, and regulated. Everything is the same. All I see is the standard old basic polo shirt with some golf company logo. And those saddle shoes! What can we say about those? We all rock the Surf, Skate, Snow, Bmx and Moto brands that we wear everyday because the style is so much more free and colorful and, let’s face it, cool! The problem is that a lot of the performance needs for golf are not met. Skateboard shoes have never had golf spikes, the typical surf style shirt does not have the comfort and performance you need on the course, and so on.

That’s where 13thgreen.com steps in. We are a Golf Shop with a Board Shop feel. We carry brands that reflect our vision. PAHR Fairway Essentials brings a new style to golf with both their Men’s and Women’s Apparel lines, and their Star Talent isn’t too shabby either. With a brand being backed by the likes of Jeremy McGrath, Dave Mirra, Cary Hart, and Jamie Little I think you would rest easy knowing that something pretty cool is going on. Radioactive Golf Footwear is the leading pioneer in putting Skateboard Shoe Fashion into Performance Golf Spikes. Finally no more saddle shoes! Both companies have a deep history in both Golf and Action Sports. We are always looking at new products to bring in, but they must “get” what we are trying to do here…put some of our Lifestyle into Golf.

So when you’re done hitting the water, the slopes, the pavement, and the dirt. Trust 13th Green to cover your style on the golf course.

Women Like Sports

June 24th, 2008

The whole idea behind 13thgreen.com is that we want to see people bringing their own style to the course. Just because you’re out playing golf, doesn't mean you have to wear some other style that you’re not used to. I believe in following the rules, I mean don't go to the course looking for attention, but just relax and feel comfortable with being yourself...not who somebody else thinks you should be. We are from an action sports background (i.e. Surf, Snow, Skate, Moto, Wake, etc.) and we feel like wearing styles that reflect that look and feel. We also love to golf and want to be comfortable while doing so. Stuffy is no fun. As they say "The only constant is change" We hope you and yours like our direction. Our target market is the action sports guys and gals that also love to golf.

The Fight Against Cancer

August 22, 2008

Atlanta, GA – TWO WHEEL dRIVER, a project fusing motorcycles, golf, and music to raise money for local cancer causes announced today the music lineup for the project’s benefit concert being held on October 23rd at Smith’s Olde Bar. Headlining the show will be Athens based Shot From Guns (with Bain Mattox), second on the bill will be The Beggar’s Guild (Atlanta, GA), and opening the show will be The Wrights (Nashville, TN). “We feel great about this lineup,” says Chris Tanner, head of operations for TWO WHEEL dRIVER. “We not only found bands that were interested in raising money for local cancer causes, but artists with the type of talent that will showcase well for filming purposes. In layman’s terms, these are impressive artists.” The benefit concert will take place at Smith’s Olde Bar on Thursday, October 23, 2008. Doors will open at 8pm with the cover being $10. The Wrights hit the stage at 9pm, followed by The Beggars’ Guild at 10pm and closing out with Shot From Guns (with Bain Mattox) at 11pm. The concert will be preceded with a charity golf tournament at Wolf Creek Golf Course on Wednesday, October 22nd. Fifty percent of the proceeds raised from this two day event will go to The Randee Foundation, Inc., a non-profit Georgia corporation making the donation to The Georgia Center for Total Cancer Care in Blairsville, GA (the facility where some original TWd promotional footage was shot during the summer of 2007). The remaining fifty percent will go to fund TWO WHEEL dRIVER, LLC as it continues production to reach higher donation goals in 2009. Mark Augustyn, the project’s founder adds, “We’re going to have a great night of music with three great bands helping to raise money for a great cause.” Bain Mattox, winner of the first Open Mic Madness competition (at Smith’s Olde Bar) back in 2002, has established himself as a fantastic multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, The Beggar’s Guild has a growing buzz since recently wowing the crowd at the Atlantis Music Conference, and The Wrights (featuring the dynamic duo of Adam and Shannon) will bring their Alan Jackson lineage, instantly notching the whole show into high gear. The TWO WHEEL dRIVER crew will also lead a motorcycle ride on Thursday, October 23 from The Vortex in Little 5 Points to Smith’s Olde Bar in midtown. The ride will leave The Vortex at 8pm.
